Biography:

Corporate Financial Consultant

Alex D. Moglia is founder and president of Moglia Advisors. He serves as chief restructuring officer, turnaround and financial advisor, receiver, assignee for the benefit of creditors, bankruptcy trustee, liquidating trustee, examiner, expert witness, and M&A advisor. Prior to founding Moglia Advisors, Alex was an investment banker at Continental National Bank, and Director of Acquisitions at CNW Corporation, a diversified publicly-traded company. Early in his career, and prior to leaving the practice of law, he was a corporate attorney at Winston & Strawn.

Alex is a member of the International Committee of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, and was a delegate at a recent United Nations conference in Vienna, Austria, on bankruptcy and asset recovery.

He is a member of the Commercial Receivers Association, and helped launch its Tennessee Chapter.

He served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers, and was Chair of its International Committee.

Alex served on the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute, for which he founded and chaired its Finance & Banking Committee.

He participates in the not-for-profit Credit Abuse Resistance Education Group, which advises high school students on developing good credit and obtaining financial aid to pay for college.

Alex has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School and attended the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business. He has a Bachelor of Science of Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.

He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French, and has working knowledge of Italian.
